Modalities

Our Learning-ships programs can be done part-time or full-time and no physical presence is strictly required although it is convenient when possible. However, frequent contact via Jira Issues comments, Google Chat and Hangout will be essential to help you boost your progress.

Coaching

During the Learning-ship Programs, you can count on the continuous assistance of our staff and receive documentation and other training, test and working material, free access to our support languages, frameworks, applications and systems (Google Suite, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, AWS, PostgresSQL, Bonita, dyPAS, Flutter, Dart, Aqueduct, GraphQL, Talend, Figma ...) and attendance to remotely and presently meetings, workshops, webinars, etc.

Project

In case you are coursing a master, university or school degree, the work done during the Learning-ship programs can be used as your degree project and the hours worked could count as course credits this, of course, depending on the policies applied by your academic institution. In that case, we are willing to sign the corresponding agreements and documents with you and your academic institution.

Thesis

You can also combine the realization of your thesis with the work done in our Learning-ship Programs provided that your thesis tutor will accept it and we can find a topic aligned with the objectives of the three parts: you, your thesis tutor and ourselves. In this case, a 6 months full-time 900 hours dedication for the Master thesis and 1,800 hours dedication for the PD Thesis will be recommend with a consistent minimum dedication of 36 hours per week, week after week, and 150 hours per month, month after month.

Attendants

Since late 2017, our Learning-ship Programs have already been followed by more than 100 learners coming from many different countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Pakistan, Russia, Spain, Sudan, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, USA, Vietnam, Venezuela, Yemen... etc

Prerequisites

To participate in one of our Learning-ship Pathways you must fulfill the following prerequisites:

Studies level:

  • Coursing the last course or having coursed a Bachelor, Master and PhD degree depending on the Learning-ship Level to be followed.

Specialties coursed:

  • Technical (Information & Computing Sciences, Telecommunications, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics …).

  • Business (Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Six Sigma, Lean Management …).

  • Social (Public Relations, Art & Design, Communication, Linguistics, Philosophy …).

Languages:

  • All the written communications and support materials and contents of the programs are in English.

  • Interns must have a Proficiency C1 English level recommended, B2 minimum required.

Other requisites:

  • Erasmus plus mobility, Campus Mundi or other similar programs could be convenient although not mandatory.

  • Some knowledge on programming languages is recommended, although it is not mandatory, except for the learners to be enrolled in our Technology Branch Units.

  • We are not necessarily requiring previous working experience although some user experience with enterprise automation applications development or usage is recommended.

Commitments

By enrolling in our Learning-ship programs you will commit to:

  • For part-time Learning-ship, a regular work of minimum 18 hours per week is strictly required, every week, during all the duration of the Learning-ship period when you are following a Volunteer Pathway.

  • For full-time Learning-ship, a regular work of minimum 36 hours per week is strictly required, every week, during all the duration of the Learning-ship period when you are following a Volunteer Pathway.

  • For learners following a presently Volunteer Learning-ship, the minimum of 9 (part-time) / 18 hours (full-time) per week must be done presently in our office in Barcelona.

  • Attendance to all weekly remote meetings is absolutely mandatory.

  • The use of our systems (Google Suite, Jira, Confluence & GitHub) for working, reporting, attaching documents, pushing code and logging time on Tasks assigned is absolutely mandatory.

  • Complete the minimum dedication established for each Learning-ship Pathway.

Erasmus or similar internship programs

Learners following a Volunteer Pathway not fulfilling the above-indicated commitments will be expelled from the Learning-ship Program and, consequently, if they were enrolled in a Erasmus or similar program they will not receive the internship during and after mobility certificates.

Be sure to have understood the above conditions before enrolling with us as part of the Erasmus or other similar internship programs to follow one of our Volunteer Pathway Programs. Take in account that not receiving the after mobility certificate will create you serious troubles with the Erasmus or other similar internship programs administration (you will have to give back the money received).

Our Learning-ship pPrograms have a minimum duration of 6 months. Therefore, if your Erasmus or other similar internship program grant is for less than 6 months, you will have to begin the proceedit Learning-ship in advance by working remotely.

Financing and Compensation Plan

No financial compensation is allowed by proceedit to our Learning-ship doers but you can obtain funds to cover your scholar fees, transport and living expenses when coming to Barcelona, by participating as a promoter in our crowdfunding projects via GoFundMe.

In case you have not the capacity to finance your Learning-ship and you are not willing to finance it via GoFundMe, we recommend you must manage to obtain funds from Erasmus, Campus Mundi or a similar internship programs.

Participating in our different Pathways you can be eligible to get a Compensation Plan composed by:

  • Scholarship granting by work.

  • Phantom shares distribution.

  • Granted freelance contract with financial compensation after having completed in total 1.800 hours dedication by adding all Learning-ship periods.

You can see the details of the proceedit Compensation Plan in this Confluence Page: https://proceedit.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BIAeXQ
